Gilded Sea Urchin Teapot
3.5" x 5" x 6.5" tall
The body of the Teapot is a real Sea Urchin Shell, sealed and then Gilded inside and out with a thin metal foil that is colored with heat and patina. Lid, Finial, Spout, Handle, and Base are turned and carved from African Blackwood. Rim is gilded with 11K White Gold Leaf. Decorated with 14K Gold and Gold Filled Beads.
Under the lid is an Oregon Sun Stone in 14K Gold.
A Sea Urchin is constructed in 5 sections, as reflected
in the base and lid shape of this piece.
The Pentacle is a symbol of the Goddess.
